Alexander McQueen Store, Dover Street London

We have just completed this project in Dover Street, London.

The Contractor was Willmott Dixon.

We were approached by the Contractor to construct these stairs as

we had been highly recommended to them by numerous other firms.

Dover street in London is a street in Mayfair.

It is notable for its Georgian Architecture as well as its location of

historic London clubs and hotels which have been frequented by world leaders 

and historic figures. 

The project was in the new store of the late fashion designer Alexander MCQueen.

The project comprised of 2 quite, "unique" curved/straight staircases.

We also formed straight/curved, one sided concete "sawn plank" finished walls.

A difficult project to complete due to the location and the lack of work space.

We completed the project on time and to a high standard.

The job itself had to be planned meticulously due to its location and logistics.

We had to work around other trades, not an easy task in such tight working areas.

Concrete placement was the biggest concern, pumps/concrete lorries and mess!

The Contractor was very very nervous that we could complete this.

Planning and co-ordination was the key to us doing just that.

This was down to our vast experience on working in the capital.
