Most concrete stairs are constructed with an open string.
A closed string is a strip of concrete on the stair edge.
its both aesthetic and structural, the balustrade will be fixed to it.
It’s very to easy to form and can allow for additional lighting.
We completed this closed string staircase for
Hannah Contracts, on the exclusive Manressa Road.
As you can see from the pictures, it adds a stunning feature to the staircase and creates a more distinguished finish.
The balustrade was glass and bronze.
